Choices, choices choices!! That's the good news for our seniors. There are so many options to choose from. However, making the right choice is sometimes difficult. Weighing options with objective professionals is probably the best way to go. I believe in home care and assisted living. It depends upon the goals of the client.
Budgeting for either is important. Planning early for retirement is the best decision, but sometimes it's not too late.
Home care is a great option if your loved one has family members that work and come home at the end of the day, so there is familial contact and support. If your loved one lives alone and has no real ability to access social activities, assisted living may be a better option. It's a personal decision, and not to be taken lightly.
