Financial Planning & Cost Analysis
When we first meet with clients, we determine if there is a financial plan in place. Making elder care decisions, unfortunately, is largely based upon financial resources.
Having this conversation is not often easy for our clients, but is necessary if we are to make realistic recommendations.
If we discover that the client has no plan in place, we often recommend they consult with eldercare attorney to protect the family's vital assets.
We provide cost analysis when a client is leaning towards independent or assisted living.
We compare the costs of their remaining in their homes -- with or without home care -- to the cost of moving into an independent or assisted living community.
While home care may be the preferred option, it sometimes turns out that it’s less expensive to move into a community than to live at home. We review the options with you. Our responsibility to you is to outline all of the options so an informed decision can be made.
